UFC President Dana White revealed to the UFC on FOX team after Sunday night’s, Jan. 14, UFC Fight Night 124 that UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor will likely be stripped of his title. Now it would appear that the belt will be vacated sooner rather than later.

Russian news agency TASS is now reporting that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is planning on officially announcing Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson at UFC 220 on Saturday, Jan. 20.
